Jojoba Oil
A growing product in 2015, Jojoba Oil has certainly buzzed the internet amongst celebrities and beauty product experts. Quirky and fun to say (Ho-Ho-Ba), Jojoba has sparked interest around the globe since its discovery as a replacement for heavier and more harmful oils found in your soaps, shampoo and even shaving creams. It has been found to have a high shelf life and can be stored for long periods as it is a relatively stable liquid. It does not oxidize easily and will not turn rancid compared to other oils because it does not contain triglycerides, unlike most other vegetable oils such as grape seed oil and coconut oil.
Jojoba Oil comes from the Sonoran desert, where the native jojoba shrub thrives despite harsh climates. The Sonoran farms that organically produce it have adopted measures that respect the jojoba shrub, the land on which it is grown, and natural growth. Known as Nature’s Multi-Tasker, Jojoba Oil is ideal for healthily hydrating skin and hair because it mimics the natural oils our bodies produce, but purely natural moisture is only the beginning. Uses such as makeup remover, moisturizer, massage oil, skin softener, conditioner for hair and lips, aftershave, and many more exist for this versatile product.
